Ramblings from the mind of Judah

Praise the Lord, I am now a married man. I have spent the past week on my honeymoon(which explains my absence) and am now back in the real world ready to love my wife the way Paul commands married men to. We spent 7 nights in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. When it was finally time to leave we were both ready to come home.

Both of us recognized the importance of a honeymoon away from family and friends. It was good to have some time away from the fast paced life of laptop cases and meetings, away from the bright neon lights of a life that doesn't allow much time for resting in the Lord. After you get married, your whole life changes and you need time as a newly married couple to become one, without distractions, or at least the usual ones.

When we arrived at our resort I was surprised, it was like a lego city, immaculately put together, with all different shapes, colors, and sizes. It was certainly a beautiful sight for our tired, ready to rest eyes.We spent most of the week just learning about each other. It took me about 2 days to even get totally comfortable sleeping with her and being around her all the time. When you spend 23 years not married, your first couple days married are very strange, good, but strange. There is no doubt that we made great progress in becoming one over the past week. Now the key is learning how to continue this process amidst the busyness of daily living. This is where the Lord comes in, we must trust Him in guiding our steps in this process because He promises He will.

Congratulations on your biblically sound wedding and marriage.  Sounds like you are already being blessed.
